Procedure and interpretation
Stabilize the vehicle
Record the discharge pattern, charge the battery correctly, secure the vehicle, and preserve doors/latches/network conditions.
The vehicle can remain undisturbed during the sleep interval.
Opening a door, pressing a remote, or waking a module can invalidate the measurement.
Allow the correct sleep state
Wait the vehicle-specific time and confirm supported sleep indicators before interpreting current.
The measured state is stable rather than still transitioning.
A transitional current is not proof of a parasitic fault.
Measure without interrupting the path
Use the approved series or clamp method and protect memory/network state as required.
The current is stable and within the applicable vehicle/equipment boundary.
If current remains elevated, isolate one supported branch at a time while preserving sleep.
Verify the cause
Repeat the sleep measurement after the supported correction and confirm the battery no longer discharges under the original conditions.
The draw pattern is resolved without creating a new network fault.
A pulled fuse or disconnected module is only a clue until the original system is verified.

Save a bounded result and note to the selected vehicle. This is a personal record, not a verified diagnosis.
